Harvard University Press is one of the most renowned academic publishing houses in the world. It was established and started publishing under its current name in early 20th century, however its history dates back even till mid-17th century. During almost a hundred years of being on the market HUP has been a publisher, among many others, of the famous Norton Lectures – a series of lectures on art and poetics, the Loeb Classical Library – a collection featuring the most important works of ancient Greek and Latin literature as well as of the I Tatti Renaissance Library – a selection of works from the Italian Renaissance published in Latin together with a reliable English translation. Nowadays Harvard University Press publishes over 200 new titles a year in a variety of academic fields.
